A Guide to My Medium Posts
Between April 2020 and March 2022, I have written over 160 posts on Medium. This includes a variety of topics from farming, to current events and social commentary, to philosophy and theology. But, there is an overall theme. We live in a world of confused and conflicted worldviews caused in large part by the cultural dominance of a belief system I call physicalism and some call scientism. Yet, nearly all of us believe in some form of “something more” or transcendence despite that being a non-starter to believers in physicalism.
Here are the basic categories:
Physicalism — Exploring the belief system of physicalism and why it cannot be supported
Theology & Science––Focus on how science can and should inform our ideas of the world and its creator
Buddhism––the deep connections and divisions between this belief system and biblical theology
Spirit — the Spirit both as Holy Spirit and within popular belief and how it connects science and theology
General Theology — opinions mostly specific to Christian belief today
Philosophy of Science — Ideas related to science
Philosophy — more basic ideas such as comparing idealism, realism, dualism, etc.
