Dr. Dohan, thank you for your thoughtful response. You state: "Brain is the origin of mind - it is all ultimately physical." You also state that our only purpose is to replicate our genes. While you state these as established facts, I disagree. They are tenets of the belief system called physicalism which you clearly accept. I published 25 posts on Medium in a series called the Case Against Physicalism in which I explained how this belief system fails in light of both current science and philosophy. I'd really enjoy hearing your comments on that series. The main point is we both have belief systems based on interpretations of science and both views require faith and acceptance of some things that are unprovable. To state as established fact the tenets of belief as you do ignores this.
