I hadn't heard of Abraxas before so I looked it up. The One as seen through the mystics and eastern philosophy is a very widespread teaching and I think needs to be considered in an overall picture of God and reality. However, I hold to the biblical concept of light and dark. In John in particular we see a clear distinction made. God is light and cannot incorporate the dark. The dark, which is real and apparent, must be accounted for separately which the biblical account quite consistently does in the form of a will opposed to God.
