I think most believers would disagree with you on the issue of evidence for what we believe. You say there is nothing that we experience that necessitates postulating divine beings. I personally don't dwell on the subjective experience of religious believers as I am more interested in ontological truth, but the experience of the divine in both eastern and western religions is very widespread, very real and verifiable as any subjective experience. We can't see dark matter and energy but we believe it is there, just like gravity, because we see its results. You may discount it as I'm sure you will, but for a great, great many they see evidence of the divine including the Holy Spirit all around. They don't see it but they see the results. Let them who have eyes to see, see.
