I think the echo chamber idea applies to far more than me and those with whom I might share ideas and values. But, I have written a number of pieces that generated some very strong and sometimes inappropriate disagreement. For example, my reviews of Sapiens by Harari drew a lot of comment and much or most of it in strong disagreement. The echo chamber is one disturbing consequence of moving our news sources and public discourse online, and it is something I think we all need to resist. I try to (and write on Substack a newsletter called Conversations Across the Divide that is political in nature). I do try to engage with those whose worldviews differ from mine, and read a lot of them. (One reason I like engaging with you although I still am not sure how different our worldviews might be.)
