It seems to me it does because the only alternative I see is to create conscious beings without any option for making such choices. Those would be puppets. I have far more of a problem with the question in eschatology of how there can be a place and time in the New Creation where moral evil does not exist without removing free will. My only answer to that, so far anyway, is that being in the Presence may essentially eliminate any thought of rebelling against God, but that then raises the question of how did the angels rebel? Any thoughts?
