Thank you Harrison, and you are certainly correct about the self-correcting nature of science. What I think Gomez-Marin was complaining about is that there are forces at work, including economic forces, that make that self-correcting process ever more difficult to be effective. I'm not sure why suggesting that there may be, or are, important questions about reality that cannot be answered within the bounds of science represents hubris. Maybe you can explain.
