Thanks Bob, I alwasy look forward to your comments on my writing. I suppose there are a great many ideas about the nonsensical idea of the Three-in-One. I've been reading a bit about the philosophical theology of Meister Eckhart and finding in his thinking a lot of resonance with my own. You may recall I have tried to explain my own view of the Trinity is a reflection of my understanding of our own minds. We have one mind that gets expressed in at least three distinct ways: Thought, Word and Deed.
Thought is the unspoken, unexpressed idea or conception (but even conception is wrong because that suggests something visual or expressible. Word is the expression, the communication, the medium of the unexpressed. Deed is the working out in action of the idea through its communicative power. I don't know, but it helps me a bit to see how three can also be one.
