Thanks David, although I think you are being a bit optimistic about achieving unity. Much to do on that yet. But the presence of evil is a major aspect of that search. The problem I see is that if you believe as I do in a creator who has the attributes typically ascribed to him by theologians throughout the years, then evil must be external to a perfect creator. How can we account for this without some kind of counterforce, an intelligence with will and power and with motive to mess things up? But, that strikes our modern ears and mentality as fantastic and unbelievable as anything in religion.
