Thanks John, obviously it is not so obvious to many that matter produces the brain. Many leading scientists reject that idea including Planck, Heisenberg, Eddington and David Bohm. I do agree that the Standard Model is incomplete and it seems based on a lot of recent thinking it is due for a major upgrade. It may be that we find a "physical" "particle" that explains consciousness. I have proposed my own name for it: spiriton. I'm exploring the idea that the immaterial is not really immaterial in a new upcoming series on the fifth dimension. So maybe in that or other new dimensions we can find a quasi-physicalist answer to the age old mind-matter question.
