Thanks Jon, very interesting. I really like your comment about Jung's mistaken view of God.
The question I would have about your thoughts is in thinking of the anti-God as pre-existing. Do you see in effect two Gods, one good and one evil, both transcendent? Both equal in power and intention? I'm not sure how that works in thinking of the Ultimate as the Ground of Being. It would simplify the question of God and evil, but at a high cost it seems to me, losing the idea of the unitary, the complete, the perfect, the Good.
The other thing I might question a bit is that statement about God stepping in to overrule bad things, and exercise his will outside or contrary to the laws of nature. I am working on a post or series on this question of divine action. There is much in philosophy and theology around this important question. I'm reading Jeffrey Koperski right now about Divine Action, Determinism, etc. You might be interested. He does helpfully identify several different theological responses to the question of miracles, divine action and the laws of nature.
