Thanks Jonathan and it is an interesting balancing act. Part of that balance is finding the way between accommodation to the changed social, political and cultural realities which are so pronounced in our political divides today, and "testing the spirits" and being not conformed to the world but transforming it. This is what I am trying to work through right now. Keith Ward's book Rethinking Christianity is very helpful and will feature prominently as I try to deal with this balance.
