Thanks Jonathan, I haven't read Maritain but have seen several references that suggest I should. ah, so much to read, so little time!

I agree that the mistakes are deeply embedded in our culture, but as several commenters and writers on Medium have noted, it seems with the ferment in science, the issues of consciousness, the growing direction toward spirituality, that there are indications of perhaps profound change. I hope so and in a miniscule way hope I can contribute to that change.
