Thanks much Mark. I greatly appreciate those who wrestle with the Christian beliefs that was the water we swam in. I'm interested in learning more about your disillusionment with the entire narrative. I understand your point about Christianity selling certainty. Of course, Christianity can't sell anything anymore than "science" can speak. We are referring to those within those categories and what they say and teach. An old book that was very helpful to me was Bernard Martin's "If God Does Not Die". A pastor struggles with realizing that his ideas about God are not God and by clinging to them they hinder his ability to grow deeper in the knowledge and love of God. The life of faith to me is in part a continual evaluation (and killing) of the ideas about God that need to die––and having new ones based on truth reborn in our minds and hearts. Wishing you a blessed Christmas season.
