Thanks Prudence, yes, I have read Borg. There is a lot to like in his view, but as a more traditional Christian I can't agree with his Christology nor his rejection of the resurrection. Christianity without the resurrection is essentially meaningless to me, good moral teaching but without the power that it has demonstrated in lives. I agree with Paul when he said if Christ is not raised we are of all people to be the most pitied. That said, I have come to see in other religions, philosophies and faith traditions so much to learn about my faith. I especially appreciated your explanation of Hinduism and its much closer connections to my faith than I understood.
