Thanks Steve, but I think the counter argument to this is the frequency with which Jesus hinted at, implied or quite clearly declared that he and the Father were one. This is found in Luke as well when Jesus says It is you who say I am. The I AM is name given by God to Moses.

So I don’t agree that Jesus would consider John’s account of his teaching blasphemous.
