That's an interesting thought, Rscott. I wonder if considering consciousness as one of the fundamental forces of nature is related to or similar to the ideas about panpsychism. Some, like Philip Goff have suggested that consciousness is a property of all particles (which are themselves in the form of bosons) like spin, polarity, charge, etc. Might that be similar?
