What I have written consistently is that unlike many other religious beliefs and faiths, many of the core Christian beliefs are facts of history. Disputable, as almost all historical facts are. The life, death and resurrection of Jesus as well as his teaching including his claims to be the Messiah or Son of God are such facts. One may discount them and even seek to disprove them, but in this way they differ from most other beliefs. If you understood that I was reducing these things to pure faith, then I have failed to communicate my intent.
