You speak as if the belief that God or gods are man-made is an established fact. Of course, it is not. I would say neither you nor I can know the truth of that this side of eternity. But, perhaps we will after.

You say that when you realize faith can lead you to false beliefs you must reject faith as a reliable path to truth. Should we review the many false theories or facts or beliefs that science once taught and have now been rejected? Based on your statement you would say that science is not a reliable path to truth. If so, I would at least partially agree with you even though I believe science has been remarkably successful as a path to truth.
